[FAQ] ReverbNation Widgets

If you have a ReverbNation "Artist" account, I added functionality here to post your ReverbNation Tune Widget on the board. You do it like this:

[RNTune](ID of artist account)[/RNTune]

So, if your ID is "324058" (which is my band's ID, but it's just an example), you would use this:

[RNTune]324058[/RNTune]

To find your ReverbNation ID number for your Artist account, you can find it in any of the Widget codes that ReverbNation gives you. It looks like this: "artist_(ID number)". In my band's case, the code shows "artist_324058", meaning that our ReverbNation ID number is 324058, which I placed in the code snippet above.

That's fine for Reverb Nation widgets .. but how bout things like MySpace playlists?

The problem with MySpace players is that they track the referrer for the code and if it's not originating from MySpace, the content will be blocked - much like how several websites block images that they host that are requested from somewhere else. I found this out because I used to embed our MySpace player on my band's website, and the content disappeared about a year ago. I checked it out and it was because the referring page wasn't from MySpace, but from my band's website. The same would occur if the referral was from this website. I can try it again though.

d .. don't try using the band player ... use a playlist such as this
